Description

This is a group of three shops and one flat, built in the early 19th century with later 20th-century additions. The building is constructed of gault brick, with slate roofs. It has three floors and four bays on the first floor. There are three doorways set within panelled reveals, each topped with a semi-circular arch. Number 15 retains its original six-panelled door, which is protected by a four-vaned fanlight. Numbers 17 and 19 have 20th-century replacement doors and fanlights without glazing bars. Number 15 is two bays wide and contains a late 19th-century glazed shop front to its left, with a side entry beside it. Above this shop is two six-over-six sash windows on the first floor, and two similar sashes on the second floor, all without horns. Numbers 17 and 19 each have one bay, each featuring a 20th-century shop front. The first floor of each bay is lit by a single six-over-six sash window with margin glazing. The second-floor windows are similar to those in number 15. All windows have a gauged skewback arch above them. The roof is gabled, and there are two gault brick stacks. A late 20th-century brick wing extends to the rear of the building, running the full height of the original structure.
