Description
No. 8 White Hart Street is a house that has been converted into a shop and offices. Its origins likely date back to the 16th century, but the current appearance is mainly from the early 19th century and later alterations. The facade features flint with some clunch and brick dressings, and is faced with gault brick. The roof is covered in pantiles, with the facade having black-glazed tiles. The building has two storeys.
The facade includes a six-panelled door on the left, which is set within panelled and fielded reveals and topped by a three-vaned fanlight. To the right, there is an early 19th-century bowed shop front with seven panes arranged in five tiers. On the first floor, there is one six-over-six sash window. The building also has a dentil eaves cornice. At the rear, there are two early 18th-century first-floor sash windows with six-over-six glazing bars.
