Description
The outbuildings in the yard of numbers 27 and 29, King's Head Inn, are stables that have been converted into a storeroom. They date from the late 18th century and were altered in the late 20th century. The building features a flint plinth with brick dressings and an upper floor made of coursed clunch. It has a pantile roof and stands two storeys tall. The south front now has a late 20th-century sliding door that replaces a row of stable doors. To the right, there is a door that leads to the hay-loft, which includes two plank loading doors and a slatted ventilation window. The building has a dentil eaves cornice beneath a gabled roof, and the west gable was rebuilt in brick in the late 20th century. Inside, there are plain bridging beams and joists.
