Description
This is a range of three houses located on King Street in New Buckenham. The houses likely originated in the late 17th century, but were significantly altered in the early 19th century with a brick facade. The underlying timber frame structure remains. The roofs are pantiled, with black glazed pantiles to the rear. The houses are two storeys high. There are six 20th-century doors, and windows of varying dates from the 18th century to the late 20th century. The upper casement windows are largely from the late 18th century. The east house, known as The Cottage, features mid-18th century sash windows with glazing bars. A timber eaves cornice runs along the top of the building. The roofs are gabled, with bell-shaped gables. Two ridge stacks are present on the west house, called The Beams, and a partly external stack from the 17th century is visible on Diken Cottage.
