Description
Bakehouse Pottery is a building that was originally a bakery and is now used as a pottery. It dates back to the early 17th century but has been altered in the 19th and 20th centuries. The structure is timber framed and features rendered wattle and daub as well as brick. It has a slate roof and stands two storeys tall. There is a central door, with an 18th-century casement window to the left that has glazing bars, and a 20th-century window to the right. On the first floor, there are two 18th-century casement windows. A drip shelf is located above the door, and the building has overhanging eaves and a gabled roof. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a bressummer, and some original tie beam roof and bracing can still be seen in the walls.
