Description

Beck Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dating from the early 18th century. It features chequered brickwork with traces of limewash and flint in the gable ends, topped by a black pantiled roof. The building has two storeys and four bays of replacement sash windows, which include glazing bars and horns set beneath skewback arches. There is evidence of original narrower window openings. A broad ovolo moulded platband runs along the facade, and there is a panelled front door with a plain doorcase. The farmhouse has curved gables and gable-end stacks, with later lean-tos added to the rear. Inside, there is an open string staircase with square knops and turned balusters.
