Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse that likely dates back to the 17th century but was extensively refurbished in the 18th century. It is constructed of limewashed brick and has a pantile roof. The building is two storeys high and features four bays of sash windows with glazing bars on the upper storey. On the ground floor, there is a late 19th-century canted bay with three sashes on the west side, along with two 18th-century three-light mullion and transom windows that have single metal casements beneath skewback arches with cambered soffits. The front door is topped by a former flat hood on consoles, which is now obscured by a later porch supported by a pair of octagonal columns with Doric capitals and an egg and dart cornice moulding. The farmhouse also has a plain dentil cornice, gable-end stacks, and one earlier off-centre axial stack.
Inside, there are some 17th-century beams with ogee chamfer stops, two 18th-century fireplaces with eared surrounds, and several 18th-century raised and fielded panelled doors.
