Description

This is a range of three houses located at the junction of Boosey's Walk in New Buckenham, dating back to 1529. The houses are timber framed with rendered wattle and daub infill, topped with a roof made of black glazed pantiles. They stand two storeys high on a brick plinth. The ground floor features three doors and one late 18th-century casement window. The facade is complemented by 20th-century bay windows beneath a coved jetty. The first floor has four renewed casement windows. The gabled roof has a ridge stack positioned to the left of center.

Inside, the remaining timber work is of thin scantling. The two western houses share a continuous roof structure supported by four square-section chamfered crown posts with arched braces that hold up the crown purlin. This purlin has been repurposed as a ridge piece for a renewed roof with a lower pitch. At the rear, there is a blocked six-light ovolo mullioned window that was inserted in the mid-17th century, with the center now featuring a 19th-century casement.
