10/66 Uphouse Farmhouse, South Raynham

Farmhouse. C17 with c1800 details. Flint with stone and brick dressings, pantiled roof. Facade altered c1800 with 3 ground and 3 first-floor tripartite sashes with glazing bars. Off-centre 6 panel door with simple fanlight. Flat rubbed brick arches to ground-floor,wooden lintels to first-floor windows, rubbed brick arches to door. Original extent of house with stone quoins now marking off southernmost bay. 4 central sashes replace brick dressed casement windows and to north ground floor 3-light stone mullioned window blocked, brick dressed rectangular window above blocked. Steeply pitched pantiled roof with 2 end gable and original south end gable stack now on party wall. Rear with outshuts of 2 different pitches, at north with stone quoins, blocked 4-centred arched stone door case with drip mould and stone stairs window with 4 centred arched. Interior with ground floor room at north with spine and bressummer beam, chamfered and stopped, other chamfered and stopped beams to ground and first floors. Early C18 staircase at south of rear outshut. C18 roof replacing original.
