Description

This is a house, likely dating from around 1700, with later 19th-century additions. It is constructed of flint with brick dressings and has a red pantiled roof. The ground floor features two tripartite wooden casement windows with single glazing bars, brick dressings, and cambered arches. The first floor has two three-light and one two-light casement windows, also with single glazing bars, brick dressings, and cambered arches. A central part-glazed door provides access. A brick plinth is visible at ground level, with brick diamond patterns broken by a 19th-century raising of the building and a new roofline. A north-facing straight joint shows quoins where the main house joins a two-story, single-bay addition. This addition contains a mid-19th century plastered and whitewashed canted shop window bay with fixed casements and cast-iron grills, topped with a slated roof and lead flushings. Above this is a tripartite window with brick dressings. A brick outshut extends to the rear. Inside, the ground floor retains chamfered cross beams.
