Description
This is a terrace of twelve houses, numbered 6 to 24, located on Nether Row in Thetford. The houses were built in 1831. They are constructed of flint with gault brick dressings, and have slate roofs on numbers 6 to 12, with pantiled roofs on the others. Each house has a basic entrance bay and a window bay, though number 14 has an entrance bay and an additional bay on both the right and left sides. All ground and upper floor windows are set within segmental arches. The windows are typically 2-light casements with glazing bars, although numbers 14 and 20 to 24 have sash windows. Number 18 retains its original 3-plank front door, while the others have 20th-century replacements. Number 24 features a blocked carriage arch with a 4-centred head. The terrace has a dentil eaves cornice, and gault brick stacks mark the divisions between the properties. A datestone in the north gable head reads "M 1831 C." The interior of the houses has not been inspected.
