Description

The Swan is a public house dated 1718, featuring the initials H.R.W., but it is likely from the late 18th century. It is constructed of colour-washed brick with pantile roofs and has two storeys with an attic. The symmetrical facade has three bays, showcasing four 3-light mullion and transom windows with metal casements set beneath segmental arches. There is a panelled door with a flat hood supported by shaped brackets, along with a later 2-light casement window above, also beneath a segmental arch. A plain platband runs across the building. The roof includes two gabled dormers and gable-end stacks. At the rear, there is a lean-to outshut and a lower service wing.
