Description

College Gate is a cottage dating from the early 18th century, with substantial renovations carried out in the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered brick with a thatched roof. The cottage is one storey high, with an attic space. A thatched gable porch is positioned on the right-hand side. All windows, including the gabled dormers, are from the late 20th century but designed to resemble original openings. The roof is half-hipped, with a central ridge stack. A flint and pantiled outbuilding adjoins the east side of the cottage. The building is included on the list for its contribution to the wider group value of the area.
