Description
A pair of semi-detached houses dating from the mid-18th century. The houses are constructed of brick with a pantiled gable roof. They have a symmetrical facade of five bays, with two central doorways alternating with casement windows – the westernmost window being renewed. Doors and windows are set within gauged skewback arches, beneath a flat brick string course. The first floor has four casement windows, with the windows in No. 1 being renewed and also featuring gauged skewback arches. A central window on the first floor is blind. A dentiled eaves cornice runs along the top of the houses, leading to a low parapet on the gables. There are stacks (chimneys) located to the left of the centre and at the east gable. The gable heads originally featured tumbling, which has now been rendered over. 20th-century additions have been made to the rear of the properties.
