Description
Nos 5 to 8 on the west side of Market Place are a group of three early 19th-century buildings constructed of red brick. They feature six windows on both the first and second floors, each with flat arches. Nos 5 and 6 are taller and have a hipped slate roof on the left side, while Nos 7 and 8 have low-pitched pantile roofs, with No 7 being painted. The buildings primarily have sash windows, most of which retain their glazing bars. The ground floors of Nos 5, 6, and 8 have been modernized for shops, while No 7 has an early 19th-century restaurant front with an entrance on the left. Nos 3 to 8 together form a group with the Corn Exchange.
