Description
Abdale House and Northside is a house with a core dating from the 16th and 17th centuries, significantly altered and extended in the mid-19th century to create a large L-shaped block. It has a timber frame construction. The exterior is roughcast, with some exposed timber framing. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The house is two storeys high with attics. The original 16th/17th century house consists of a two-window central section and gabled cross wings to the left and right. The left wing has an attic floor and a taller rear section, which may also be 17th century timber frame. The windows are a mix of 19th-century casements and sash windows, all with Tudor drip moulds.
