Description
St Ethelreda's Church Hall, formerly known as Countess Anne's School, was built around 1840 for the 2nd Marchioness of Salisbury as a school she supported. The building is constructed of red brick and features a roof made of plain tiles and fish scale tiles, with parapeted and coped gable ends. It is designed in a Tudor style and has five 2-light cast iron twin casements with moulded brick mullions and surrounds. Between the windows, there are large stepped buttresses with tiled set-offs. On the right side, there is a Dutch-gabled porch that includes a 4-centre arched doorway and a door with original vertical panelling.
