Description

No 24 Church Street is a house that was formerly known as The Travellers' Rest public house. It dates from the late 18th century and is constructed of chequered red brick with a steep plain tile roof. The building has two storeys and attics above a cellar, featuring a plinth, a floor band, and dentilled brick eaves. There are three Yorkshire casement windows with louvred shutters and gauged brick lintels. The entrance door is topped with a cornice hood supported by simple scrolled wooden brackets. Additionally, there are two hipped casement dormers. To the right, there is a two-storey extension made of brick and timber-frame, which includes one metal frame casement window.
