Description
St Ethelreda's Churchyard features a memorial cross dedicated to the Cecil family, located in the burial ground on the east side of the churchyard. This monument, erected in 1872, is situated in the centre of the burial ground, northeast of the chancel. It is constructed from stone and has a chamfered square plan with a stepped base. The eight-sided aedicule plinth is adorned with wide and narrow crocketed gables that include carved tympana. The shaft of the cross is topped with a leaf-carved finial, which is further surmounted by a small cross.
