Description

Elms is a house that dates from the early to mid-19th century at the front, with a 17th-century rear wing on the north side. The building is constructed of brown brick, featuring gauged red brick window lintels, and has a slate roof. It stands two storeys tall with a sunken basement. The front facade includes three flush sash windows with moulded frames and 9/6-pane glazing. There is a flush panel door topped with a radiating fanlight, and a porch supported by slender Tuscan columns with a moulded cornice. The south gable end has a blocked attic roundel and two segmental-headed windows. The rear wing, which is on the north side, is plastered and features a three-light oak mullioned window on the ground floor.
