Description

The Bushey Arches Railway Viaduct is a railway bridge built between 1834 and 1837, designed by engineer Robert Stephenson. It carries the London-Birmingham Railway over the London-Watford road. The viaduct features five arches, each with a span of approximately 30 feet and a height of 25 feet. The structure is made of brick and stone, with rusticated stone voussoirs and a stone course below the parapet. The parapet has been rebuilt, and a 20th-century bridge runs parallel to and obscures the east side of the viaduct.
