Description
No. 14 Chalk Hill is a 17th-century former farmhouse that features a rendered timber-framed structure. The building is two storeys high and has plain tile roofs. It is a rectangular block with gable ends, which are adorned with 19th-century bargeboards. A later brick chimney is located on the front wall, and there are two glazing bar sash windows on the front and two on the gable end. Inside, the house has angled queen-post roof trusses and ceiling beams on the ground floor, along with a fireplace that dates from the late 18th to early 19th century. At the rear, there is an 18th-century range with a hipped valley roof, also rendered, featuring glazing bar sashes and casements. A 19th-century wooden porch is present as well.
