GV II

Lock cottage on Grand Union Canal at Lock No. 78. Early C19. Whitewashed brick. Shallow hipped slate roof. 1 storey. 1:3:1, centre canted out with steps up to central entrance in reveal with cambered head. Flanking and outer timber glazing bar 2 light casements. Plinth. Overhanging eaves. Cross axial ridge stacks flanking central bay. Return and rear elevations are 2 storeys. 2 light lower casement on left return. Entrance and 1 window on right return.
