Description

Cassio Bridge Lock Number 78 is located on the Grand Union Canal in Rickmansworth and dates from the early 19th century. The lock features stone setts laid above brick walls and has timber lock gates. It is equipped with iron bollards, which were likely cast in 1896 by the London and Lancashire Engineering Company. This structure is included for its group value, particularly in relation to Cassio Bridge Lock House on Cassiobridge Terrace.
