Description

This 18th-century barn stands approximately 40 metres southwest of Newhall Farm House. It is a timber-frame structure, now clad in weatherboarding, with a tiled roof. The barn has four bays, and a gabled midstrey, or central projecting section, situated south of the centre of the barn. Catslide roofs cover lean-to outshuts on either side of the midstrey. The interior features curved braces extending from jowled posts to tie beams, and angled struts supporting the purlins. The barn is listed for its contribution to the group value of buildings in the area.
