Description
This is a 17th-century barn located about 20 meters east of Red Hall Farm House in Chandler's Cross. The barn features a timber frame set on a brick base and is covered with weatherboarding and a tiled roof. It consists of five bays and has a central gabled midstrey that faces away from the house, with opposing double doors. There are catslide roofs over the lean-to outshuts on either side, also facing away from the house. At the far end, away from the road, there is a two-bay addition with double doors that face the house. Additionally, there is a three-bay addition at right angles towards the house, facing the road, which includes a central gabled midstrey with opposing double doors and a lean-to to the left of the midstrey. The interior features jowled posts with arched braces and queen struts that clasp the purlins.
