Description

17 High Street is a 17th-century house that stands three storeys tall and features one window. The top storey is deeply overhanging and is supported by carved brackets on either side. The front is plastered, with the upper floors divided by raised decorative borders into a series of rectangular panels that resemble rustication. At the top of the gable end, there is a raised oval panel inscribed with the date "1665." The second floor has a wide, three-light window with mullions and a transom, while the first floor boasts a five-light canted bay window with casements. The ground floor has a modern shop front.
