Description
No 15 High Street is an early 18th century house that stands three storeys tall and features three windows. It is constructed of brown brick with red brick dressings and has been re-fenestrated with recessed sashes from the 19th century. The building includes brick strings above the first and second floors and has a panelled brick parapet. On the ground floor, there is the Waxhouse Gate to the left and a modern shop front that is unobtrusive. A rainwater head on the building is dated 1723. Additionally, there is a war memorial table set into the wall, which is part of a series of plaques in St Albans that commemorate the fallen from individual streets and localities.
