Description

The Fleur de Lis Public House is an early 18th-century building with a brick facade that was added to an ancient inn originally constructed by 1350. It has two storeys and features four windows. The high-pitched, tiled roof has deep eaves with modillions. There is a brick band at the first floor level. The near-flush box frames of the sash windows were replaced in the 19th century. Some very heavy old timberwork can still be seen in the carriageway on the left side of the ground floor. The Fleur de Lis is part of a group that includes Nos 1 to 5 (odd) and No 9.
