Description

No. 11 Market Place is a 17th century timber-framed house that stands three storeys tall with an attic. The exterior is now plastered over, but it features a high-pitched tiled roof with two gabled dormers and deep box eaves. The second floor slightly jetties out and is supported by moulded beams. The windows on the first and second floors are canted bays with mullions and transoms, although most of the glazing has been replaced with later materials. The central chimney stack has been significantly restored. The back of the building was previously numbered 17 in French Row and includes a door with octagonal panels set within a 17th century moulded frame.
