Description
9 French Row is a 15th-century small building that is timber framed and has two storeys with two windows. It is located next to No. 5 French Row. The building features a high-pitched tiled roof that is hipped into the cross gable of No. 5. The first floor has a deeply overhanging design with a rough cast front. On the first floor, there are two renewed casement windows, while the ground floor has a shop front with doors at either end. At the rear, there are two gabled extensions. The upper storey of No. 7 is occupied and extends into the upper storey of Nos. 3 to 5 French Row, which is why part of it is included in the listing for those properties. Nos. 1 to 5 (odd) and No. 9 form a group.
