Description

The Abbey Mills, located on the eastern side of Abbey Mill Lane, are late 18th century silk mills consisting of two blocks. The eastern block features a gabled end and stands three storeys high with an attic, displaying three windows facing the road. It includes a round window in the attic, while the other windows, including those on the long, six-bay east side, match the design of the other mill. There is a disused mill race along the east side. The Abbey Mills, both the western and eastern blocks, along with Abbey Mill House, form a group.
