Description

The buildings at 31 and 33 High Street form a pair of houses with a timber-frame origin dating to the 17th and 18th centuries. They were later re-faced with brick in the 19th century, and are now painted. The roofs are tiled, with a yellow gault brick chimney stack at each end, incorporating red brick dressings. The houses are two storeys high. The front has two flush sash windows with segmental heads, and two flush panel doors at the centre. The gable end of number 33 exhibits the lower portion of a red brick external stack dating from the 17th or 18th century.
