Description
Smallford Cottage is a farmhouse that has been converted into a house. It features elements from the mid-17th century and possibly has an earlier core. The structure is timber-framed and has 20th-century weatherboarding and casement windows. The roof is steeply pitched and covered with plain tiles, featuring three gabled dormers. The building has one storey and attics, with the ground floor showcasing three three-light casements. There are two 20th-century doors, with the right door located beneath a large ridge chimney stack that has four joined shafts arranged in a cross plan. To the right, there is a single-storey extension from the 18th to 19th century, and a further 20th-century extension beyond that. Inside, there is a staircase attached to the chimney stack.
