Description

Numbers 1, 2 and 3 Ye Olde House is a house, divided into three properties, originally dating from the mid-to-late 17th century, although it may incorporate an earlier structure. It has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The house is timber-framed and has a red brick ground floor, with the upper floor weatherboarded. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The building is two storeys high, with four gable ends arranged in a line. Three of the gables are large, showcasing exposed purlins, while a smaller gable sits above the front door and beneath the chimney stack. There are four casement windows with multiple glazing bars, comprising two and three lights each. A 19th-century half-glazed door provides entry. A substantial mid-17th century red brick chimney stack features four shafts joined together. To the left is a red brick lean-to extension dating from the 17th or 18th century, with a stack at the rear.
