Description

The lych gate at St Helens Church is a mid to late 19th century structure. It features a timber frame and a plain tile roof. The design includes two heavy posts with cross beams that support an open-timbered roof, complemented by curved braces and clasped purlin construction. The posts rest on timber floor plates, and there are double low gates adorned with dog-tooth iron ornament along the top. This lych gate is included for its group value with the church.
