Description

Rosedene is a house with origins dating back to the 15th and 16th centuries, and subsequently altered in the 17th, 18th, and early 19th centuries. It is constructed of timber framing with roughcast walls, and has a machine tile roof. The house is two storeys high with an attic. It features four double-hung sash windows with glazing bars, with the ground floor windows having a segmental head. A gabled cross wing is located on the left end, containing two casement windows. The central entrance has a plank door. The right side of the building has dentilled brick eaves. Internally, the cross wing contains a rear wall and floor beams dating from the 15th and 16th centuries, as well as an inglenook from the 17th and 18th centuries. An 18th-century ridge stack is also present.
