Description
Dane End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century, possibly incorporating an earlier structure. It is built of red brick and features a half-hipped plain tile roof, with internal end chimney stacks located towards the front of the end walls. The building has two storeys and attics, with a floor band. The ground floor has three 20th-century casements in their original openings, which have segmental heads. There is a timbered gabled casement dormer on the right side. The off-centre door is made of wide planks and has a simple wood frame.
Adjoining the farmhouse on the right is an early 19th-century outshut, which has one storey and attics. The upper wall is exposed timber frame, and there is a small glazing bar casement to the left of the plank door. To the right is an 18th-century outbuilding that features a half-hipped roof and a floor band, with a segmental-headed plank door and a two-light leaded casement in the attic.
