Description

Rose Cottage is an early 18th-century timber-frame cottage located on the west side of New Inn Road in Hinxworth. The walls are roughcast, with painted brick chimney stacks at each gable end. It has a steeply pitched slate roof and one storey with attics. A circa-1900 half-glazed door is set within an open-timbered gabled porch, featuring bargeboards and a finial. Two 19th-century two-light casement windows with glazing bars are set in moulded frames. Two box dormers contain 20th-century casements.
