Description

Gordon Cottage is a cottage dating from the late 17th century. It has a timber frame and is finished with roughcast, topped by a thatched roof. The building has one storey and attics, with a rebuilt chimney stack on the right and a 19th-century stack on the front slope at the left end. The cottage features three glazing bar casements. Above the door on the left side, there is an original gabled attic dormer supported by 19th-century shaped brackets, with a plain tile surround. The gable end facing the road displays heavy exposed purlins and shaped brackets.
