Description

Cantlebury is a house, likely originating as a hall house dating from the 15th and 16th centuries. It incorporates cross wings and a largely 17th-century rear extension, which was altered in the 20th century. The house is timber-framed with plastered walls and has plain tile roofs, half-hipped at the front. It is two storeys high and features three 20th-century leaded casement windows to the front. A rebuilt white brick ridge stack is located towards the right, and a 17th–18th-century gabled dormer with a two-light leaded casement is on the left. A 20th-century porch fronts the house. A rear wing, with a single-and-a-half storeys, has a lean-to on the northwest side.
