Description
Cammocks is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, likely dating from the 15th to 16th century, with a cross wing added in the mid-17th century. The building features a timber frame with plastered walls and a plain tile roof, and it stands two storeys tall. The front elevation, facing southwest, has three 3-light leaded casement windows. The cross wing on the southeast end projects outward, and at the re-entrant angle, there is a lean-to that includes a reset 16th-century wooden door with a four-centre arch, moulded frame, and chamfered spandrels. A central red brick ridge stack from the 17th century is located on the main range, while towards the rear of the wing, there is a mid-17th-century stack with a square base and two diagonal-set shafts. The clunch base of this stack is exposed at the rear. Additionally, the southeast elevation of the wing features a 17th-century 2-light leaded casement window.
