Description
Post Office Row is a house dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It features a timber frame with roughcast on the ground floor, dark weatherboarding on the first floor, and a red brick gable at the north end. The steeply pitched roof is now slated, with the rear slope raised to cover a rear extension. This two-storey house is set back slightly from the roadside and faces west, with internal gable chimneys at each end that rise to the rear of the ridge.
The west front includes a gabled dormer window at the left-hand end, along with two first-floor windows in the middle and right-hand end. The main entrance is a four-panel door located near the left-hand end, accompanied by a minor boarded door on the right side. To the left of this door are two windows, and to the right is a smaller window. The windows are two-light flush casements. The adjoining house to the south is not of special interest.
