Description
Bury Farm Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century and 18th century, built in two phases and later extended in the 20th century. It features a timber frame on a brick base and is weatherboarded with a steeply pitched thatched roof. The building has three bays arranged in an L shape, with a later bay and a lobby entrance at the rear. It is one storey with an attic. The front has three small flush frame two-light casements, and there is a small ridge stack near the hipped angle on the right return, which has two horizontal sliding sashes. To the left, there is a 20th-century addition with an entrance that links to a two-storey rendered block with a square shape and a hipped roof. Inside, some framing is exposed, and there are altered jowled posts, chamfered bearers, and a clasped purlin roof. The cottage is included for its group value.
