Description
Willow Cottage is a house built in the early 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century and an extension added in the 20th century. The structure features a timber frame that is rendered, with some sections cased in red brick. It has a steeply pitched roof covered in cedar shingles. The house consists of three main sections with a short extension on the left side and stands two storeys tall. The entrance is located in the right bay and includes a recessed half-glazed door with a small hood above it. The windows on the ground floor are two-light casements with small panes, and above each first-floor window, there is a small gablet also covered in shingles. A ridge stack from the 18th century is positioned between the central and left bays. The left end of the house is roughcast and has an entrance, while the right gable end is made of 19th-century red brick and features an internal stack. At the rear, there are 20th-century casements and a single-storey lean-to extension on the right side. Inside, some of the framing is exposed, showcasing tension braces and stop-chamfered bearers.
