Description
Walnut Tree Cottage is a house, originally two dwellings, dating from the late 17th century. It has a timber frame and is roughcast, topped with a steeply pitched thatched roof. The building consists of two cells and stands two storeys high. The original central entrance has been blocked off since the house was divided, and the current entrance is located to the left, featuring a later glazed porch. There are two small triangular bay windows with leaded lights and small casements in between. On the first floor, there are two three-light flush frame casements, also leaded. A red brick axial ridge stack is positioned at the centre of the roof, and there are weatherboarded lean-tos on both ends of the cottage.
