Description

Moss Rose Cottage is a house, originally two dwellings, dating from the mid to late 17th century, with extensions and alterations made in the 20th century. The house is timber-framed and rendered, with a half-hipped thatched roof. It is arranged as a two-cell lobby entry plan, over one storey and attics. A projecting gabled porch stands at the front, flanked by horizontal sliding sash windows. An axial red brick ridge stack is visible. The right-hand entrance is modern, and other windows are also 20th-century casements. A horizontal sliding sash window is located on the left-hand ground floor, and a 3-light casement window is in the attic. A gable ended extension is at the rear, with flanking slate-roofed lean-tos.
