Description
Holly House is a house dating from the 16th century, with a floor and chimney inserted in the hall in the early 17th century. The northern bay was floored in the late 17th century, and there is 18th-century red brick infill to the frame. An early to mid-19th-century southern wing has been added, along with a later extension to the north in the late 20th century. The older part of the house is timber framed with red brick panels, while the southern wing and later extension are made of red brick. The house features steep old red tile roofs.
The structure consists of a low range with four bays, now two storeys high, and includes a large internal chimney in the second bay from the north. The southern bay is partitioned, presumably serving as a parlour. Additionally, a symmetrical two-storey estate cottage has been added to the south, facing the lane. The first floor has two-light lattice cast iron windows, while the ground floor features three-light windows, with a central gabled porch on the south side.
