Description

Woodvine Cottage is a house dating to the 17th century. It is timber-framed, with some brick facing on a stuccoed sill, and has a steep, old red tile roof that extends down at the rear with a flatter pitch over a continuous outshut. The house is two storeys high and has three windows wide on the front, facing west, and is linked to Frays to the south. The original plan consists of three rooms, with the entrance located approximately a third of the way from the north end and a large rear wall chimney with two flues positioned a third of the way from the south end. A later external chimney was added to the north gable, featuring a single flue. The west front has three windows to each floor, irregularly placed, with two-light and three-light casement windows. There is another door near the right-hand corner.
