Description

This is a house, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, and renovated in the 19th century. A single-bay addition was built in the late 20th century. The house is timber-framed with a flint sill and is roughcast externally, featuring a steep roof covered in old red tiles. It is a 1½-storey building facing west, with its north gable facing the road. It is a 2-cell house with an internal chimney and lean-to additions to the north, east, and west. The west front has three gabled dormers, a chimney built of narrow red bricks located a third from the north end, and a recessed corner porch in the northwest corner. A bay post of the main building is exposed in the porch, and the north lean-to has an exposed timber frame. There are two-light flush casement windows, and the house has group value.
